One Contractor for Your Space
Commercial Construction Baton Rouge Business Owners Rely On
Your space has to work for your staff and your customers. We build it so it does.
A commercial space has to pass review, fit your budget, and be ready for customers. We build out leased spaces, like the strip centers along Airline Highway, Siegen Lane, and Coursey Boulevard, and we put up new commercial buildings from the ground up. Offices, shops, restaurants, and studios each get a written scope, a clear price, and a schedule we plan with you.
Bobby Smith brings 19 years of construction experience to every commercial job, and he is the person you call with questions. We handle framing, drywall, ceilings, finishes, and the trades in between, so you deal with one contractor instead of five. Not sure what paperwork your space needs? Start with our guide to building permits in East Baton Rouge Parish before you sign a lease.

Space Not Working?
Signs Your Business Needs a Commercial Contractor
If one of these sounds like your building, it is time to talk through a build-out or a new space.
-
Leased Space Is an Empty Shell
Bare concrete and open studs need walls, ceilings, restrooms, and finishes before a business can open.
-
Office Layout No Longer Fits Your Staff
New walls, doors, and a break room can make an old office floor plan work again.
-
Restrooms or Entry Are Not ADA Accessible
Ramps, wider doors, grab bars, and roomier restrooms help every customer get in and around.
-
Storefront Looks Dated to Customers
Worn siding, trim, and entry areas get rebuilt so the building looks cared for from the street.
-
Business Has Outgrown the Building
When there is no more room to rearrange, an addition or a new commercial building is the next step.

Commercial Questions
Commercial Construction FAQs
Do you build out leased commercial spaces in Baton Rouge?
Yes. Tenant build-outs are a big part of our commercial work. We take a bare or outdated suite and add the walls, ceilings, restrooms, flooring, and finishes your business needs. Check your lease first — many landlords must approve the plans before any work starts in their building.
Does a commercial build-out need State Fire Marshal review?
In Louisiana, most commercial projects go through plan review before a permit is issued, and that often includes the State Fire Marshal's office. What is required depends on the building and how it will be used. We go over the review steps with you early so they are in the schedule.
Can my business stay open while you work?
Sometimes. It depends on how much of the space is torn up and whether customers can get around the work safely. We plan the schedule with you before we start, and we can often split the job into stages so part of the space stays usable.
Have you built a recording studio or other specialty space?
Yes. One of our customers hired us to build out a studio and left a review about it. Specialty rooms take extra planning for wall layers, doors, and wiring paths. Tell us how the room will be used, and we will write the scope around that.
Can you add an ADA ramp or accessible restroom to an existing building?
Yes. We build accessibility ramps and remodel restrooms with wider doors, grab bars, and more turning room. Older buildings in Baton Rouge often were not built with this in mind. We measure what you have, explain what needs to change, and give you a written price.
