Estimates & Payment

How pricing works before and during a project.

How do I get an estimate?

Call or send the form. We set a time to visit the property, look at the work, and take measurements. After that you get a written estimate that lists what's included. The visit and the estimate are both free.

Why won't you quote a price without seeing the job?

Because it would be a guess, and guesses are how budgets get blown. Wall condition, access, plumbing, and wiring all change the price. Seeing the project first lets us give you a number you can actually plan around.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept credit cards along with the usual payment methods. Your estimate spells out the payment schedule for the project, so you know when each payment is due before any work starts.

What happens if the project costs more than the estimate?

The price only changes if the work changes. If we find hidden damage or you decide to add something, we stop, explain it, and give you the added cost in writing. Nothing extra is done until you approve it.

Scheduling & Timelines

When we work and how long projects take.

What are your working hours?

Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM. We're closed on Sunday. Calls and form requests that come in after hours are returned the next business day.

How soon can you start my project?

It depends on the size of the job, the permit, and what's already on the schedule. Small repairs can often start soon. Larger remodels and new builds need time for plans, permits, and ordering materials. We give you a realistic start date with your estimate.

Does weather delay construction in Louisiana?

It can. Heavy rain stops foundation, framing, roofing, and exterior work, and summer storms are part of life here. We plan indoor tasks for wet days when possible and let you know right away if the schedule shifts.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Not all day. We need you for the first walk-through, for decisions along the way, and for the final check. Many customers go to work and get updates by phone. We agree on how we'll get in and lock up.

Projects & Permits

What we build and how the paperwork gets handled.

Who handles the building permit?

We do. When your project needs a permit, we file it with the city or parish office that covers your address and schedule the inspections. The rules differ between East Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, Orleans, Jefferson, and the other parishes we work in.

Do I need drawings or plans before I call?

No. Many customers start with just an idea or a few photos. For bigger projects like additions and new homes, plans are required for the permit. We'll tell you what's needed and help you get it done.

Can you make a home easier to use for someone with a disability?

Yes. We build wheelchair ramps, widen doorways, and remodel bathrooms with step-free showers and grab bars. We look at how the person moves through the house and plan the changes around their daily routine.

Do you build for businesses as well as homeowners?

Yes. We do commercial build-outs and new buildings, and we also build decks, porches, ramps, and additions for business properties. A recording studio is one example a customer wrote about in a review.

Our Company

Licensing, reviews, and who you'll work with.

How can I check your contractor license?

Go to the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors website and search for license number 887389 or our company name. It takes a minute, and it's a smart step before hiring any contractor in Louisiana.

What does BBB Accredited mean?

It means the Better Business Bureau has reviewed our business and we've agreed to its standards for honest advertising and handling complaints. We hold an A+ rating. You can read our profile on the BBB website.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We stand behind our work. If something we built or repaired isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Ask us about warranty details for your specific project when you get your estimate.

How long has the owner been in construction?

Bobby Smith has 19 years of experience in construction. He is involved in every project, from the first visit and the written estimate to the final walk-through with you.
