Building in Denham Springs
A Contractor for Denham Springs Homes Rebuilt After 2016
The August 2016 flood changed almost every street here. It still shapes the work homes need today.
Denham Springs took some of the worst of the August 2016 flood. When the Amite River came up, most homes in town had water inside. Many were gutted and put back together fast, often by whoever was available. Years later, owners are finding the shortcuts: wavy floors, cheap cabinets, doors that stick, and trim that never lined up.
We fix that kind of work, and we build new. That means kitchen and bathroom remodels, added rooms, and full repairs from the studs out. Before we plan an addition, we look at your flood zone and the height of your slab, because both the city and Livingston Parish have rules about how high new living space must sit.

Denham Springs Questions
Questions Denham Springs Homeowners Ask Us
My Denham Springs home was repaired after the 2016 flood. Can you redo work that was rushed?
Yes. A lot of post-flood repairs were done fast with whatever materials were on hand. We can replace swollen cabinets, uneven flooring, and poorly hung doors, and open walls where needed to check what is behind them. You get a written list of what we find before any work starts.
Is my permit handled by the City of Denham Springs or Livingston Parish?
It depends on your address. Homes inside the city limits go through the City of Denham Springs. Many homes with a Denham Springs mailing address sit outside the limits and fall under Livingston Parish instead. We confirm which office covers you and file the paperwork ourselves.
Can I add a room if my house is in a flood zone near the Amite River?
Usually, yes, but the new floor may need to sit at or above the base flood elevation for your lot. We look up your flood zone and may need an elevation certificate from a surveyor first. That tells us how the addition has to be built before we price it.
Do you work on the older houses near the Denham Springs antique district?
Yes. Many of the older homes around Range Avenue downtown are wood-frame houses raised on piers, not slabs. We repair floor framing, replace rotted siding and trim, and update kitchens and baths while keeping the look of the house. We check for termite and moisture damage before quoting.
